Whilst I love telling you all about my monthly favourites the time to do so comes around all too quickly , each post signalling the end of another month. It is hard to believe that we are now into the 6 month mark of 2015 .Sometimes I feel that time isn’t waiting for me so the desire to make the most of each day is getting stronger.
Now with my deep thoughts expressed let’s move onto the real reason you are reading this post.
Here I present to you all the products and sundries I have been loving during May.
Danny Wallace , What not to do, and how to do it. Ebury Press £7.99
If you like the type of book you can pick up and read easily, whether it be on a train journey , waiting for an appointment , or just during your coffee break then this is the book for you. Full of short anecdotal stories of the daily life of Danny Wallace this book will have you giggling away to yourself long after you put it down. The thoughts that run rough this blokes mind are not dissimilar to my own. If you are often neurotic a tad competitive and love reading about awkward situations in life then this is the book for you. Funny , charming ,clever and brilliantly ridiculous make this your summertime beach book.
Thomas Sarbo Glam & Soul Necklace £198.95
This Thomas Sarbo necklace was a present from my husband after a recent trip abroad . This triple combination round pendant has a gorgeous two toned look. Made from 925 Sterling Silver and 18k Rose gold plated with a 70.00 cm chain this really is a necklace for all occasions . It has a fabulous en vogue look and a classic feel.
Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Eclat D’or Rose .£31.50
Now that the summer months are SLOWLY creeping in I am moving towards a dewy complexion look , now this is a hard look to pull off. You can either emerge gym sweaty or disco ball diva. I purchased this product some time ago and use to mix a small amount in with my foundation which I found really illuminated my skin tone . More recently I have been using this as a full base coat underneath my foundation . You can really see the dewy effect this creates especially where the light naturally hits your face. Not effective as a primer but great at giving the dewy finish.
NARS Creamy ConceAler in shade Custard. £22.00.
I think I am a bit late to this party , so you may already be fans of this product. But for those of you whom are yet to sample it’s delights let me tell you that this medium to high coverage concealer is a dream , not only to work with but it really brightens that under eye area. I will be purchasing another of this straight after it runs out. And whilst the £22.00 price tag is higher than my all time favourite Rimmels Wake Me Up concealer it does give that little bit more, it’s like a mid way point between this and benefits Erase Paste.
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer £16.00.
I received this I think in a Birchbox and has been sat in my products to try box for some time. This month I finally gave it a trial. Now the thought of having to apply something before I even wash my hair to me felt like…. well to be honest like too much hard work. But now I only wash my hair twice a week it is hardly onerous is it.It promises to deliver bounce and shine and I have to say it lives up to it’s claims .My hair seemed much smoother especially on the ends which are very bleached. After using this weekly I can certainly see the benefits and my hair seems stronger. This will now form part of my hair care routine . So thanks Birchbox.
Make-up Revolution Viper Mascara £3.00.
Can I just start by saying £3.00 ….. this should be £23.00 . I was sent this a while back and used it as part of my mothers day make-over but had not actually used this on myself. Wow when my Benefit They’re Real ran out I thought I would give this a try. I was blown away not only by the volume and lift this gives but also by the Viper brush which has an amazing tip which gives you individual lash control. If you want to flutter you way to the hearts of millions this summer ladies do yourself a favour and instead of a Chai Latte purchase yourself this mascara . For the same price you would be a fool not to. I may also add that my top lashes have fake ones intertwined and this mascara works perfectly with them.
So there you have it I hope that some of these products find their way to become your June Favourites so leave me a comment if you take the AJ leap of faith.
