Six months into 2015 already , wow this year is flying by. But now we get into the good part of the year , and as I type this I am sitting outside enjoying the benefits of the heatwave.
So now that July greets us with a very promising start, it is time to reflect on what made June great .
Of course there was Glastonbury , some great new product launches but sadly June also saw a tragedy with the blogging community being affected first hand. so firstly can we all take a moment to pay our respects to those victims , family and friends of those affected by the Tunisian Beach massacre.
Okay so let’s move into what I personally have enjoyed during June with my June Favourites.
Ted Baker Chanory chain trim tote bag in the colour bright pink. £229
I wasn’t actually in the market for a new bag but whilst perusing Selfridge’s website I saw this was in the sale. And with £100 off to market price I couldn’t resist. It has lots of separates contained within and is capable of holding a lot given its medium size. This will without a shadow of a doubt be my bag for the summer. It’s a real eye catcher and I love it. I have just checked Selfridges website and it is no longer there ,but keep trying it may return or get reduced elsewhere. Of course you can still purchase it at full price from Ted Baker.
Michael Kors Padlock Necklace £115.
I have had my eye on this for some time since I first spotted it on a model in their catalogue , but again have refrained myself from purchasing this until…… I spotted it on Goldsmith’s website for £55.00. Again what a bargain and what a lot of necklace for your money. It has an adjustable 90-95 cm chain and looks amazing. The good news is that they are still available to purchase ( although only in gold) . So if like me you have staked this for a while , now is the time to pounce.
Dove Summer Glow £2.62 currently at Boots.
This nourishing body lotion with added gradual tanner really is my go to for summer .It absorbs well and you awaken looking sun-kissed without the orange sheets, awful smell and dry skin. It leave your skin so smooth and I have yet to suffer from any of the usual ” dirty neck” look as it wears off. Probably because I do exfoliate well which is key to maintaining a great tan. Available in light to fair or dark to medium nobody you can choose your level of colour.
VO5 Smoothly Does It, Heat Protect Serum , 50 ml. £4.19
I use curling tongs on my hair at least 3 times a week so it is important that I keep my already dry, chemically treated hair protected against any further damage.I have never used a serum for this purpose before so was keen to try this out. And I must say I was pleased with the results. It’s a bit like a protection Frizz Ease with added illuminators because it protects , tames those frizzy bits and also adds shine. I would definitely repurchase this again. Great for this time of the year when we push our hair to its heat limits.
Ray Bans Aviator Flash Lenses in colour Copper Flash £143.
I have tried many different kinds of sunglasses to suit my face shape and nothing for me beats the classic aviator style. The teardrop shape suits my high cheekbones meaning my face doesn’t look eaten by plastic. The copper Flash Colour is Da Bomb sometimes it’s orange sometimes , purple and sometimes a bit reddish or gold . You won’t go unnoticed in these fact.
Elizabeth Arden New York In Bloom pure Finish Radiant Bronzing Powder 10g £22.10 from Feel Unique.
Now apart from winning the prize for the longest product title ever this is soooooooo pretty .The product , the packaging all scream look at me. but hey you can’t go on looks alone we all know this right ? Now I only use a bronzer in the summer to enhance what the sky gives me so for me subtle is key. Not only does this tick the box but it also contains antioxidants to ensure a healthy glow. The brush I wouldn’t use but that is the only downfall. This will be your summer handbag essential believe me.
So that rounds it up. I hope I have spiked your interest in some of the products mentioned and if you purchase any please leave a comment telling me what you thought.
Now go enjoy that sunshine ….
